An advertisement is the non-personal communication of information usually paid for & usually persuasive in nature, about products (goods & services) or ideas by identified sponsor through various media.

What makes an advert be good? The correct use and combination of the different elements that typically appear on an advert. The elements of advertising design are the components that the graphic designer plans, such as colors, shapes, forms, contrast, artwork, titles and more.

ACT 5 – Localitza Elements en Anuncis.

Un anunci publictari és la comunicació no personal d’informació normalment pagada i sovint persuasiva sobre productes, serveis o idees d’un patrocinador identificat a través dels mitjans de comunicació.

Què fa que un anunci sigui efectiu? El correcte ús i combinació dels diferents elements que típicament apareixen en un anunci. Els elements del disseny publicitari són emprats per dissenyador gràfic, i són, entre d’altres, el color, la forma, el volum, el contrats, els gràfics, el text, etc.

ELEMENT DESCRIPTION
1 Slogan It’s a phrase identified with a firm. A motto used in selling an enterprise or company.
2 Logotype It’s a graphic representation or symbol of a company name, trademark, abbreviation, etc., often uniquely designed for ready recognition.
3 Artwork Photographs, drawings, and graphic embellishments are a key visual element of many types of ads. Some ads may have only a single visual while others might have several pictures. Even text-only ads might have some graphics in the form of decorative bullets or borders.
4 Copy The copy is the main text of the ad. Some ads may take a minimalist approach, a line or two or a single paragraph. Other ads may be quite text-heavy with paragraphs of information, possibly arranged in columns newspaper style.
5 Shape Shapes are two dimensional, or flat. A shape is height and width only in advertising design.
6 Form Forms are three dimensional – height, width, and depth. You get volume and mass with form.
7 Line A line is a continuous mark connecting two points.
8 Texture It describes the surface of an object. The artist renders the object to give an idea of how it would feel to the touch.
9 Contact The contact or signature of an ad may appear anywhere in the ad although it is usually near the bottom. It consists of one or more of : Logo, Advertiser Name, Address, Phone Number, Map or Driving Directions, Web Site Address, etc.
10 Titles The main headline may be the strongest element of the ad or it may be secondary to a strong visual. Some ads may have subheads and other title elements as well.
11 Color How color is used in your advertising design can have a big impact on how it is interpreted by your customers.
12 Focal Point & Reading Direction The artist places objects or creates patterns so that the eye follows a path. The path the eye follows in advertising is very important, because you want the reader to end up at your call for action.
